THE BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CHILD CARE PROGRAM

The Department of Community Services’ Before and After School Child Care (BASCC) Program offers children attending county elementary schools competent, quality care for those who otherwise would be without adult supervision during the crucial hours before school begins and after it ends without leaving their school. Parental involvement and participation are key factors of the program. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided.

The program operates August–June, Monday–Friday, from 6:00 A.M. until the opening of school and after school ends until 6:00 P.M. Centers may remain open 6:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. during school closings (except holidays and closings due to weather) for an additional fee. No transportation is provided.
