Do you wish you could get an email reminding you of events at the child care center?
The Department of Community Services will begin sending email announcements to parents/guardians for upcoming special events, parent council meetings, special noticies, classroom supply needs, and more.
If you would like to be added to the email list database, please send an email to webmail@charlescounty.org that includes your name and the email address that you wish to add.
Your information will be added to the list, and you will then receive an email notification advising that your address has been added.

The Child Care Program at Community Services
The program operates Monday-Friday, 6:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided; however, parents are responsible for providing a lunch for their child/children. Transportation is provided from the actual Center to preschool, kindergarten, and elementary schools. Call 301-934-0104 or 301-870-3388, ext. 5104, for availability.
Program Registration Fee: $75/family

Infant Care
Caregivers respond individually to each infant.
Drop-in care not available for infant program.
Infants (6 weeks–18 months) |

Encouragement of social, emotional, and language development.
Age-appropriate toys and tools. Drop-in care only available for 2’s.

Note: All day care is available at the Onsite Child Care Program
during those days
when schools are closed, but the program
is open. The cost is $24 per day for
currently enrolled students.
For those students not currently enrolled in the program,
the drop-in rate is $6 per hour, per child.
