Ranking Factors

The Housing Authority determines eligibility by evaluating and completing a personal assessment ranking scale. The ranking factors enable objective selection within State parameters and ensure service is provided consistent with the program objectives. In addition to the likelihood of attaining or continuing self-sufficiency, the following criteria will be evaluated as evidence of homelessness or at risk for becoming homeless:

• Court eviction in hand
• Documentation of displacement due to natural disaster
• Documentation of domestic violence • Homelessness as certified by a local human services organization.
• Documentation of danger of losing housing because of damage or destruction of existing housing or potential or actual eviction which is the result of reasons beyond the applicant's control.

• TCA/SS/SSI
• Child support
• One fixed income only
• No income
