Recreation operates two year-round indoor community pools - one at North Point in Waldorf and one at Lackey High School in Indian Head. During the summer months, we also operate outdoor pools at La Plata, McDonough, and Thomas Stone High Schools. All pools are open to the public for recreational swimming with daily admission or memberships available. We offer numerous programs including swim lessons, pool rentals, water aerobics, lifeguard training, and more.

Thunderstorm policy: All patrons will be cleared from all pools after the first sight or sound of an approaching thunderstorm. The pools will remain cleared for a full 30 minutes after the last clap of thunder or sight of lightning.
