What a great way to spend the summer…with arts and crafts, fun sport competitions, organized games, thematic special events, extra special guests, a weekly trip to the pool, and field trips. Six weekly sessions. Bring bag lunch and drink daily (if in extended care, please bring a daily snack). Before care begins at 6:30am, after care ends at 6:00pm. Closed Friday, July 4. Weekly fee includes field trips, guest presenters, and swimming fees.
Campers must be the min age listed as of Dec 31, 2007, or will complete kindergarten by June 2008; and no older than the maximum age listed by the first day of camp. Age 6-12. Use the link to the right to print a camp enrollment packet.
A specialized camp offering gymnastics instruction for vault, ropes, trampoline, bars, dance, balance beam, and the outrageous “pit.” Eight weekly sessions with a weekly trip to the pool! Daily activities include creative arts, special events, and organized games. Bring a bag lunch, drink, and snack each day. Before care starts at 6:30am; after care ends at 6:00pm. Closed Friday, July 4.

Age: 6-12
Designed for Charles County students with developmental disabilities. Activities include arts and crafts, swimming, games, sports, life skills, and special field trips (trip fees included in registration fee). Camp operates for six, one week sessions. Enrollment is limited to 40 per session. Transportation is available from designated pick-up areas and is based on need. Registration packet available from Community Services. Payment due at registration. Closed July 4.
Age: 5-21
Learn the fundamentals of baseball using easy to understand methods. Camp is grouped by the participants age and ability. All particpants must bring a glove, and may also bring their favorite bat). Bring lunch in a cooler each day. Friday is reserved for possible rain date.
Age: 6-13
Head Coach, Todd Fong, Division II Columbia Union College, and former CSM Head Basketball Coach, will show you how to improve your basic skills through individual instruction with special attention to specifics and techniques. Age 5-17 (sessions based on age)
Campers will start their day at the Capital Clubhouse to participate in a wide range of activities such as basketball, soccer, ice skating, rock climbing and more. After lunch, campers will travel to North Point Pool for an afternoon of supervised water activities and games. Participants must be able to swim one length of the pool (25 yards) and tread water for 30 seconds. Campers receive a camp T-shirt and are required to bring a bathing suit, towel, tennis shoes, and appropriate clothing for ice skating, as well as a bag lunch and drink each day.
Note: Campers are to be dropped off at the Capital Clubhouse and picked up from the North Point Pool.
*Child must test swimming skills prior to registration.

Age: 7-13
Camp is available to kids who have a desire to learn about the responsibilities and duties of a lifeguard. This is NOT a lifeguard training class. Camp combines the American Red Cross Guard Start program with other supervised aquatic activities in and around the pool. Campers receive a camp T-shirt and are required to bring a bathing suit, two towels, change of clothes, and tennis shoes. Campers are to bring a bag lunch and drink. Participants must be able to swim one length of the pool (25 yards), tread water for 1 minute, swim underwater for 10 yards.
*Child must test swimming skills prior to registration.
*No before or after care.
Age: 11-15.
Part One is designed to teach students basic rescue and first aid skills, accident prevention, and general water safety. This camp will also include instructional swim time to refine and strengthen participant swimming abilities. Part Two continues to build upon the basic skills taught in Part 1 while introducing CPR skills, fitness swimming, creating water safety presentations, team building, and job preparation skills. Campers must have completed Part One of this program before attending Part Two.
Camp focuses on water safety, swimming skills, diving skills, and other aquatic games and activities. Participants will be in the water in the morning for instructional swimming skills in beginner, intermediate and advanced groups, and again in the afternoon for supervised games and activities. Campers will also participate in outdoor sports and games. Each day will include a daily water safety topic with organized activities. Campers receive a camp T-shirt and are required to bring a bathing suit, two towels, change of clothes, and tennis shoes. Campers are to bring a bag lunch and drink. Participants must be able to swim one length of the pool (25yards) and tread water for 30 seconds.
