Public Transit Route Descriptions
VanGO has a variety of public transit routes that operate continuously throughout the day offering maximum opportunities with limited ride durations. All routes are designated by name and color for easy identification. For detailed route information, please click on the links below.
All routes except Nanjemoy, Waldorf to Charlotte Hall, Newburg, La Plata B, Indian Head, and Indian Head Senior Center begin and end at the 301 Park & Ride, located on Route 301 South at Smallwood Drive (main transfer point is the Route 301 Park & Ride).
La Plata A, La Plata B, Newburg, Indian Head, meet at the Transfer Point in La Plata at the outskirts of the Waldorf Senior Center.
The Nanjemoy Route operates on a deviated-fixed schedule. The Indian Head Senior Center Route operates on a subscription schedule for seniors needing transportation to the Indian Head Senior Center.
The Charlotte Hall route connects with St. Charles East B at the Smallwood Village CVS for further travel into Waldorf. An additional untimed connection between Charlotte Hall and Business C can be made at St. Charles Parkway CVS/Gateway Plaza.
All routes meeting at the Park & Ride operate on hourly schedules. At the top of every hour, routes begin from the Park & Ride. Buses return 40-50 minutes in front of the hour, depending on the route. See individual schedules for details.
