- All passengers must pay exact fare; drivers cannot make change.
- Acceptable forms of exact fare are cash, VanGO discount tickets, or an All-Day Pass.
- A pass or fare is required every trip.
- Fares must be paid when boarding the vehicle or boarding will be denied.
- Drivers do not have keys to the fareboxes.
VanGO Discount Ticket Books
VanGO discount ticket books can be purchased from VanGO drivers or at the Department of Community Services. The ticket books cost $8 but contain $10 worth of VanGO coupons. Ticket books have no expiration date and can be used to pay one-way fares. Discount tickets cannot be used to purchase an all-day pass.
Reduced Fares
VanGO provides reduced fares to senior citizens and individuals with disabilities. In order to obtain the reduced fare, senior citizens may present their MediCare Card or the local Office on Aging identification card. VanGO also will provide reduced fare cards to eligible passengers based on an application review. Applications are available at the Department of Community Services or on the VanGO website.
