- Title 18 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, enacted October 1, 1997, requires alarm businesses be licensed by the Maryland State Police (MSP). The FARU coordinates issuance of our local ABL with the MSP to ensure alarm company compliance with this state law. To expedite the ABL application process, please attach a copy of your State of Maryland Security Systems Agency License. If you are not properly registered with the MSP, please contact the MSP License Service Section directly at (410) 799-0191, to obtain instructions for registering. You may also obtain a # MSP Form 29-70 License and Permit application (dated 1/00) from your local MSP Barracks. It is recommended that you complete the MSP registration process prior to submitting your Charles County ABL application. Charles County ABLs will not be issued until confirmation is received of your State of Maryland Security Systems Agency License number.
- Upon the issuance of your Charles County ABL, you will be provided the quantity of registration forms indicated on your ABL application to register your Charles County customers.
