Disconnecting Your Alarm System

If you wish to discontinue the use of your alarm system, or if you have moved into a location with an existing alarm system that you do not wish to use, please follow the recommendations listed below to discontinue alarm service and to ensure the alarm system is not physically capable of sending an alarm signal.

  1. remove the battery(may send a low battery signal to monitoring center but should not create a dispatch request);
  2. unplug the transformer from the a/c power outlet; and
  3. disconnect the system from the phone service.

The FARU shall not be liable for any damages or costs arising out of or in any way connected with the use or cancellation of alarm services.
