Employment Services

The Employment Services Division is responsible for recruiting competent and capable persons to fill a variety of County vacancies.

To ensure a fair selection process, all vacancies are advertised through various sources which include: posting in all County Departments, updating the Job Hotline (301-645-0600) weekly, online in-house and out-of-house employment listing, and distributing job announcements to over 80 outside agencies.

This division handles over 1700 applications in any given year. A screening process is used to ensure that each applicant is treated fairly and equally in the employment process regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability status. This division also monitors, and is available to aid each department in, the interview and selection process.
