What Types of Jobs Are Available?
Charles County Government has over 223 different position classifications performing a wide range of job duties. Charles County accepts applications only for positions for which we are currently recruiting.
Where Can I Obtain an Application?
To apply for a current job opening with Charles County Government, submit a completed Charles County Government employment application.
The application may be downloaded from this site or can be obtained in any of the following locations:

All Charles County Government positions require a completed application form. Applicants must complete the form in full and sign at the bottom. A resume may be attached, but can't be used as a substitute for an application.
Only applications for positions which are currently open will be accepted. You need to submit a new application for each position you apply for.
Applications must be received in the Department of Human Resources by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date stated in the job announcement. Mailed applications must be postmarked by the closing date.
Applications remain active only during the period of recruitment for the position. New applications will be required for any future positions you may be interested in.
You will be sent an acknowledgment card informing you that your application has been received within a week after the closing date listed on the job announcement. A representative from the hiring department will call those applicants they wish to interview between 2 - 4 weeks from the closing date. Applicants not selected for an interview will be notified by mail of the status of the position after a final selection is made.
