The Training and Employee Development division provides professional and personal development opportunities, as well as services to Charles County Government employees. This division can help employees work smarter, improve the use of technology, and work effectively and cooperatively in a dynamic and diverse workplace. During Fiscal Year 2005-2006, local consultants, large training vendors, and in-house staff provided 108 different training programs. Employees from all county departments completed 6,174 hours of training.
This division is also responsive in supporting goals of the Charles County Commissioners. Customer Service Excellence is an ongoing goal for Charles County Government. The Department of Human Resources has supported this goal by developing a Customer Service Plan along with adopting a strategic framework for helping our employees become known as "best in class" for customer service.
