Fishin' Buddies Derby
This event is held the 1st Saturday of May and
the 2nd Saturday of October
Gilbert Run Park
7:00 A.M.–12:30 P.M.
Spring Derby Photos | Fall Derby Photos
Anglers will compete by teams. Each team must consist of one adult (21 years of age or older) and one child (ages 6–15). Trophies will be awarded in the two different age divisions and bank anglers will compete separately from those who choose to fish from a boat (1 team per boat).
Door Prizes: All teams will be eligible for numerous door prize drawings, including fishing tackle, rods, free park passes and boat rentals. Prizes have been donated by local businesses and the Charles County Commissioners.

The entry fee is $7 per team. Preregistration is required since participation is limited.
