Trash Disposal & Tag-A-Bag Program

In Charles County residents contract on an individual basis for curbside service of household trash and bulk pick-up. These types of services can be found in the yellow pages under "rubbish".

Residents also have the option of disposing items in the county landfill or through the Tag-a-Bag program, our volume-based system for the disposal of household trash. The more you recycle, the less trash you have, the more money you save!

For the Tag-a-Bag program, residents purchase tickets at various locations throughout the county for $0.70 per ticket. Each ticket enables you to dispose of one bag/container of household trash up to 32 gallons. Each bag/container exceeding 32 gallons require additional Tag-a-Bag tickets.
