Litter Control

litterbugCharles County operates an aggressive litter control program which consists of four full time litter crews and one part time litter crew. These crews remove litter from right-of-ways of County maintained roads (roads that have a number assessed such as Rt. 301, Rt. 6, etc. are State roads) helping to make our county a cleaner and healthier place to live.

Volunteer programs include our Adopt-A-Road Program and the annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup.
