Staff were recognized for extra efforts which went into the preparation for the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE)/Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) public information meeting on the wetland permit for the Cross County Connector Phases 5, 6, and 7. They are commended for their part in assisting the MDE/ACOE with bringing the subject information before the citizens of Charles County in order to form an informed opinion of the issue and for their interagency coordination efforts. This included planning, mapping, and enormous hours expended to prepare for what was expected to be and, indeed, was a sensitive and highly visible issue with the citizens of the County and environmentalists in particular. Your dedication was exemplified when you remained steadfast, if needed, until the end of the hearing which lasted six hours and into the early morning. We thank them for their dedication and hard work.
